Product Description
Gold plated molybdenum wire is manufactured via a precision electroplating process that bonds a uniform, dense gold coating to a high-purity molybdenum wire core, with strict pretreatment and post-treatment steps to ensure coating adhesion and performance. The core manufacturing steps are as follows:

  1. Molybdenum wire pre-treatment: High-purity molybdenum wire is cleaned (degreasing, pickling) to remove surface oil, oxide film and impurities, then activated to enhance surface adhesion for gold plating.
  2. Electroplating core process: The pretreated molybdenum wire is immersed in a professional gold plating electrolyte, and a controlled electroplating current is applied to deposit a thin, even gold layer on the molybdenum surface—thickness is precisely adjusted based on application requirements (typically micron-level).
  3. Post-plating finishing: The gold-plated wire is rinsed to remove residual electrolyte, then dried and heat-treated at a low temperature to improve the bonding strength between the gold coating and molybdenum core, preventing peeling.
  4. Quality testing: The finished wire is inspected for gold layer uniformity, thickness, adhesion, electrical conductivity and dimensional accuracy to meet industrial precision standards.

The entire process is conducted in a dust-free, controlled environment to avoid surface contamination, ensuring the final product’s corrosion resistance, low contact resistance and mechanical stability.
